Heating & Power

The boat has central heating throughout, a heated towel rail in the bathroom and a multi-fuel wood burner in the lounge so you shouldn’t feel cold.

You might like to bring some slippers or ‘indoors only’ trainers.  The floor can be chilly as it’s always below the water line.

Narrowboat electrics are a bit complicated.  Our power is stored in 12V batteries with energy coming from the engine and our solar panels.  Some of this power is converted through an inverter to 230V so you can use your sockets as at home.

We do have to be mindful of the power we use but we shouldn't run out.
